A staple lunch!

Everyone needs a good burger joint to frequent.  While we are all about trying new places, I think it is important in our early blogs to talk about some of our frequent stops.  Today Travis picked up identical meals for the both of us from, Loretta's Northwesterner ( http://lorettasnorthwesterner.com/).

First about our meal.  The perfect pick-me-up for any day is Loretta's Deluxe Cheeseburger with Bacon, Fries, with two orders of homemade tartar sauce. There is nothing fancy about the Cheeseburger, it is just simply delicious.  Everything about the burger tastes fresh: The buns are soft and flavorful, but light and airy. The burger is thick and juicy, topped with lettuce, pickles, red onions and tomato.  There is the right amount of sauce to be somewhat messy, but not overpowering.  Best of all, the bacon is thick and cooked to perfection.  Our vegetable intake was not limited to the burger toppings, because we ordered potatoes, french fried.  The fries are great, but the homemade tartar sauce puts the whole meal over the edge.  We need to ask what the secret is sometime, but I think that there are small bits of garlic in the sauce.

Now about Loretta's.  While I wish that we could take the time to sit in the restaurant of whose food we devour, most of the time we take working lunches at our desk or on the go (hence the name of the blog, "Take out").  Loretta's does the take out thing well, but every time I go there I want to stay. It is a quirky tavern in South Park area of Seattle that has a logger, meets indie rocker vibe to it.  There is memorabilia of antique logging and antique beer, a turntable with an assortment of records to choose from, and best of all is their outdoor patio. The patio has a walk up outdoor bar, parked right next to a bright, silver Airstream trailer.  I haven't figured out the trailers purpose, but it makes for a great backyard ambiance, especially while sitting on one of the patio chairs that doesn't seem to match any others.  If you get bored drinking beer, you can try your hand at a little ping pong on one of the tables that is conveniently located in Loretta's "back yard".

Task Complete!!!!
